GERALYNNE MITSCHKE

Establishing GMD in 2010, Geralynne leads a collaborative approach with explorative risk-taking and thoughtful editing, resulting in interiors that enhance living while presenting a strong point of view, honestly and completely regardless of individual style. Fostering an eased and affirmative design experience for all involved is also an important part of the GMD experience.

Geralynne Mitschke founded Geralynne Mitschke Design (GMD) on the design fundamentals learned through her Interior Design degree from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. She attributes much of her design acumen to the invaluable mentorship gained while working with Robert Ledingham for many years. “Working with Bob was a privilege and a pleasure; his quiet leadership for uncompromised interiors always started with establishing sound interior architecture, quality trade relationships and all-encompassing client education. Building on the Ledingham legacy of the advocacy and value for well-considered design is something I carry with me; often channelling the lessons from Bob in any given design situation.”

TARYN CHISHOLM
Interior Designer | BID BA

Taryn brings a powerful combination of design and business savvy to GMD.  Taryn earned a Bachelor of Interior Design from Kwantlen Polytechnic University and worked for several local and national interior design firms specializing in commercial design, prior to joining GMD in 2016.

In addition, Taryn holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary and worked for several years for a national energy company.

With her unique combination of education and previous work experience, Taryn is able to design innovative, client-focused, spaces that balance project realities of schedule and budget.
